Non-profit of the Year

The Vina Moses Center was honored with the Corvallis Chamber's non-profit of the year award at this years' Celebrate Corvallis. Vina Moses was one of the early recipients of the Benton County Citizens' of the Year in 1955. The Vina Moses Center will be celebrating 100 years of service in 2018.

School Program

We have already begun preparations for our School Program, August 23 - 26. As always, we need children's sizes 8-14 for girls and boys. Donations of school supplies are also needed. Your contributions made it possible for us to help 900 children prepare for school last year. Sponsoring a child will remain at $50.00 this year. The Center makes many changes during the week of the School Program so we can use some "muscle" on Monday and Tuesday August 21-22.

Please call 541-753-1420 for times volunteers are needed. Most importantly, thank you for your continued support of all our programs throughout the year.

Volunteer Luncheon

We celebrated our volunteers this year at our luncheon May 25, 2017. We were unable to celebrate last year so we had two volunteers to honor with Volunteer of the Year. Jim Wohlwend (2015) has been volunteering with our FISH program for over 20 years.

George Abele has been with Vina Moses since the early 1990's. We are certainly blessed with such dedicated and hardworking volunteers!

We're Getting New Carpet!

Taylor Howard

We have exciting news at Vina Moses Center, Home Depot has donated carpet! We will be installing it March 3 – 7, 2016 and March 10 - 14, 2016. We will not be accepting donations or have shoppers during this time.

Christmas is Just Around the Corner

Taylor Howard

Dear Friends,

We at the Vina Moses Center have much to be thankful for. Home Depot brought paint and volunteers to our Center in October and brightened up our shopping area. It is cheerful and clean. Staff, volunteers and clients alike want to thank the folks at Home Depot for their generosity. A special thank you to Becky Gentilini for coordinating volunteers and securing donations of paint, supplies and window blinds for us. She’s now hard at work on getting and installing new carpet for us!

Each month about 1,000 people come to the Center to select clothing, toys, and household goods for their families. In the fall, 1000 children receive school supplies and clothing during the Back to School Program.

For many years, Vina Moses prepared Christmas baskets for each family. It was a huge task picking out the right toy or correct size for each child. For the 2009 Christmas season we began letting parents pick out appropriate gifts and clothing for their children. An array of toys and clothing are displayed for them to choose from. These are the items that you make available by taking tags from our Giving Trees. It is a huge success with our families and volunteers. This Christmas we look forward to being able to provide 1200 families with food and/or gifts.

We need your participation again this year. You can help families in many ways: sponsor a family, take a gift to a giving tree, donate non perishable food or volunteer your time. Information about ways to help is inside this letter.

Thank you for your time, talents, goods, and financial support. Your gifts make a difference to the families we serve and to our community. All of us at Vina Moses are wishing all of you a wonderful Christmas and joyful New Year.
