Vina Moses Christmas Program
Since 1917 Vina Moses
has provided families in Benton County with some holiday joy in the form
of holiday baskets. Corvallis is notable for its livability. What does
this mean? Our spirit of giving is special in this community as many of
us who moved here from other parts of the country can attest. Vina Moses
Center is proud to part of Corvallis Heritage and to continue being a
unique and integral part of its future.
Our holiday baskets contain gifts for children and food for a holiday
meal and general consumption. Food is either donated or purchased from
many local agencies and businesses. New toys and stocking stuffers are
distributed to families according to the number and ages of the children.

Coordination of the
baskets each year takes the help and skills of many volunteers. The baskets
have to be packed individually according family size, need, etc. Arrangement
for pickup and storage of food items in advance is needed as well as packers
who can pack and sometimes deliver baskets to individuals without transportation.
Arranging for pickup with the families and other charities who participate
in this endeavor is certainly a fulfilling experience and also a great
way to spend an afternoon in December. If you are interested in volunteering

Funding of this endeavor
is provided largely from contributions of our community members. This
year to sponsor a basket for a family will cost just $35.
You can as well designate your donation for any amount or towards a variety
of programs. .
